Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Rai to the Chiang Rai boat pier. We start first by Long Tail boat for an approximately 1 hours boat cruise over the Maekok River to “Baan Ruam Mitra”, a traditional Karen hill tribe village for a visit, before making an exiting approximately 30 minutes ride around the village on the back of an elephant.  After this wonderful ride through the jungle, we visit a local Lahu Hill Tribe. It is believed that the Muser or Lahu originally came from the highlands of Tibet and those them, together with the Lisor and the Igor, have a close connection with the Lolo tribe in the south of China. Muser people have constantly migrated within the areas of China, Burma, Laos and Thailand. In Thailand and can be found in this region of the country. Its unique culture and history make it definitely worth the stop. Lunch is included at a local restaurant en route. Natural hot springs have been discovered in several areas in Thailand – especially in the north and southern part of Thailand. Some of them have been developed into tourist attractions; some even offer health packages combining mineral baths, Thai traditional massage and fitness facilities. We will make a stop and explain the history about these natural phenomenons before making a stop at a local handicraft centre. By car, we transfer you back to your hotel within Chiang Rai.
